About Kalina

She’s got a voice that can crack mountains
— Angel Gil Lopez, CEO Ghettoblaster Productions

Kalina is a girl who has been through enough drama in her short life to fill an odyssey. She has been physically intimidated, bullied, and frankly emotionally abused. She writes songs to not only process her own thoughts around her experiences, but to break the silence about them. With her dark, eerie lyrics she showcases resiliency in making it known that she will not bow to pressure, stress, or coercion, and neither should you.

Writing songs since she was 13, she officially debuted her original music at 14 through the release of various singles on Bandcamp that were later compiled into her first EP titled “Dangerous Waters”.  Her latest EP release at 22, “Eye for an Eye,” received radio play on CFAB radio, and a nomination in BiteSize Film Festival in the Best Music Video category for the starting track “Love Myself”. Most recently the EP awarded her acceptance into the “Writer to Writer” New York Songwriting Retreat in 2022 hosted by Andrea Stolpe, where she got to work with artists from all around the North American continent before being invited to work directly with Stolpe as a mentee.

So I’m listening to “Eye for an Eye” and 36 seconds in...I’m a fan. I really dig [her] voice and like, [her] tone. I adore the kinda rock-edge [her] music has and it meshes well with [her] voice.

Has a very folk rock sound that’s pleasant and very soothing to the ears.

It’s the soothing voice you want to hear at the end of the day.
